The Venue
Garden Valley Gatherings is an enchanting, rustic-style Wisconsin wedding venue located just outside of Alma Center. Visitors can relax when visiting Garden Valley Gatherings because Wisconsin weather won't ruin the day. With both indoor and outdoor options for hosting guests, the party can adjust to weather conditions by moving all or part of the festivities inside the barn. Conveniently located just 7 miles off of Interstate 94 and only 35 minutes south of Eau Claire, Garden Valley Gatherings will be easy for both you and your guests to find.
Our woodland site is located at our family tree farm in Hixton, WI. Don't let the 5 minute drive scare you as it is an absolutely beautiful and whimsical location! Wally (Kristin's dad) is welcoming to wedding parties here and offers his house for hiding the bridal party before the ceremony. There is an additional fee of $500 for rental of portable toilets, setup and cleanup at this location.
The history and charm of the century old Wisconsin dairy barn still remains. The wrap around deck looks out to rolling hills and provides a perfect area to sip wine and watch the sun set. The old barn is an original, not duplicated. It is beautifully decorated with tables and chairs giving a charming touch as you gather in a home type atmosphere creating lifetime memories. This is a great location for social hour after a wedding ceremony. Garden Valley Gatherings has a liquor license and can serve beer, wines, liquors and specializes in homemade lemonade. We have the ability to serve your signature drinks in the barn and throughout your evening.
After social hour, guests will be seated in the newly built (summer 2020) pavilion and enjoy a meal of your choice. You will have the freedom to choose your own caterer. We have many referrals to help with all your decisions.
Choose a DJ who has the ability to service music during the ceremony, transition to reception area, and finally the dance area.
Most guests enjoy all the outdoor space we have created with manicured lawns and flower gardens.
If you choose our venue, you are creating an experience your guests will enjoy as they will create lifetime memories.

The History
What really sets this venue apart from the rest is that it is owned and operated by a local family farm just down the road. In 2016, the barn retired from farming purposes and has since been transformed into a dream-fulfilled business. The owner’s passion and creative mindset allowed her to see the potential in a neglected, century-old dairy barn.
Less than a mile down the road from Garden Valley Gatherings lies Pfaffsway Farms. The farm is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Steve and Kristin Pfaff. Pfaffsway Farms is a second-generation dairy farm in West Central Wisconsin.
Milking about 170 dairy cows and operating about 1,000 acres of corn, hay, and soybeans keeps this couple busy with the help of their three children. The Pfaff family values the land they operate and practices safe, sustainable soil conservation.
